I started going for long rides on my first scooter Honda Dio. It was a great experience to go on long rides with a gearless scooter. My first ride was to Ponmudi on my dio covering about 200kms and at that time it was a long ride for me. Then I rode from Kanyakumari to Alappey beach, Kanyakumari to Kochi and long rides on dio went on.
The turning point of my journey was on 12th January 2018, when I bought a new Classic 350 Chestnut and named it “Tusker”. With Dio I went for one day rides and with classic I planned rides. From the month of June, I started going for long rides every month end. In June two of my friends and I, on their Himalayan and Classic 350, went for a ride to Athirapilly, Vazhachal, Valparai, Pollachi and back to home covering 1800 kms in 3 days. In July with the same crew rode to Coimbatore, Ooty, Masinagudi, Nilambur and Ernakulam in 3 days covering around 1900 kms. In August we rode to Yercaud, covering about 1000 kms overall in 2 days. Then in December 2018, we rode Sto Wayanad and covered 1400kms.
In January 2019, my first ride was to Kodaikanal and it was one of the greatest experiences of mine. It was 3days trip in which I covered almost 800 kms. Due to my workload, I was not so active in 2019 for rides. I had attended Royal Enfield ride and went for many short rides. Then in November 2019, finally my four years dream came true. I rode all the way from Kanyakumari to Goa to attend Royal Enfield Ridermania 2019.Attending Ridermania was a great experience. I got many new companies and experienced the spirit of true motorcycling. Hopefully I’ll be exploring more places on my Tusker.
