Weekend wanderers’ group admins are Mr.Mohan, Mr.Suganthan.Kv, Mr.Vasu.
Weekend Wanderers started as a Whatsapp group during the lockdown in 2020. They used to wander along in weekends, which turned, into a biking Club officially launched on 15-08-2020. With 1300+ Followers and 132 members in their official Whatsapp group, they organize weekend 1 Day and 2-Day group rides in different districts.
They have a dedicated coordinator for major districts who head/organize the meetups/rides in respective districts along with the Admins.
In 2020 – They completed 30 rides (1 endurance ride – Salem-kanykumari-Rameshwaram-Salem 1250kms 36hrs without overnight hault + exploration of the places) and 3 meetups
In 2021 -They completed 15 rides (1 endurance ride – Salem-Rameshwaram-Salem 930kms (800kms Night ride) without overnight hault + exploration of the places) and 3 meetups (1 xbhp meet up, 2 Meetup @chennai wing of Weekend Wanderers). Completed ladakh ride last month July 18 to aug 15
Weekend wanderers always focus on safety and choose only capable riders for endurance rides and long rides. They also train upcoming riders. Their motto is to promote “safe and prosperous biking”.
