Hey guys, my name is Harpreet Wadalia and I would like to share my first ride which was from Pune to Jamshedpur covering 2525 kms on my Bajaj Pulsar 180.
A ride which was full of adventures, thrilling routes, unexpected motorcycle breakdowns, wrong road diversions, coming across people you never even imagined off & some amazing ride experiences.
The ride started early morning around 2 am as I had to reach Nagpur by the night. I had targeted to reach Shirdi by early morning, but unexpected rains on the way made it quite difficult and the roads started to get worse. As it was my 1st Long ride, and I was going to my hometown for a vacation I had too much luggage, which resulted in overweight and the bike was starting to get overheated. I was running on time but a flat tire in the evening, made me to push the bike for 1km to a small town, till the time my bike was ready the sun had already set. Eventually, I reached Nagpur around 11 pm. Day 2, I got the bike checked early morning, did an engine oil top-up, and was on my way to Rourkela. But as I reached Raipur there was a big traffic jam due to some accident so I decided to take a diversion. That was the worst choice that I had made. Again the same thing happened and I was trapped. Somehow I was able to make it after trying for an hour and went to dhaba in the night to stay.
So next day in the morning, with the help locals went back to the highway and unfortunately ended up in naxalite area. The place is known as Saranda Jungle. I cleared the jungle around 9 pm. I was a bit shocked but it was fun and scary to ride as the rains had started again. I reached my home around 11 pm.
It was my first long-distance ride, and I learned a lot from this ride.
